2017 SHUKC Player of the Week (Week 6)

by David Brox, davidbrox@shukc.com

A bit of a difficult decision this week for player of the week.

We will have to make a weekly thing to acknowledge Ivan Webb of Schlagle.  25 carries for 283 yards and 2 TD’s.  I tweeted out that the Webb Effect is real.  I got that line and actually thought, “Man is that all?”.  Obviously some sarcasm but the march to history continues.  1928 yards on the season and 21 TD’s through 6 games.  Among rushing leaders in the nation per Maxpreps.  While we know that Maxpreps isn’t everyone it sure is a good sample size.

Dalton Bock of Tonganoxie logged his second straight 200+ yards rushing game.  244 and 3 TD’s on just 16 carries in a blow out win against Turner.  Bock now has 871 yards and 7 TD’s on the season.  They head into district play at 6-0 and are the favorite coming out of that district.

SHUKC Player of the Week:

Keyshawn King of Washington keeps shining bright as he played a huge role in the Wildcats beating their rival Wyandotte Bulldogs.  His line is what is sick because he literally did a bit of everything.  16 carries for 84 yards and  TD, 9 catches for 87 yards TD, 2 INTs one of which returned 80 yards  for another TD.  King’s total line for the season is pretty sick and diverse.  30 receptions for 501 yards 6 TDs, 248 yards KR yards, 21 carries 177 yards TD,  1 fumble returned 53 yards for TD. 3 Interceptions, 1 returned for 80 yards for TD.
