“How about those Chieftains!!!” – Colten Pope

Despite being down All SHUKC performer LeeRoi Johnson the Chieftains were able to out gun Eudora 46-40 in OT.  This is a huge win as it makes it clear that Tonganoxie will be a competing at a high level this season.  Props to Coach Troyer and his staff.  Well done!

The gap in the KCAL was proven to be wide as Atchison smashes Sumner Academy on the road 51-8.

Basehor-Linwood took care of business at home 50-12 over Spring Hill.

Desoto has certainly turned in a corner hitting the road and blanking a Bonner Springs team who scored 60+ a week before.  Final there was 28-0.

Piper did not start early and find themselves in a lightning delay at Louisburg.  JJ Letcher got Piper on the board with a long hook and ladder play.  Piper trails 14-6.

Wyandotte outlasts Harmon winning 48-44.

Lansing is in a rain delay up 46-0 over Ward.

Jaelon Harley had 22 carries, 146 yds, 3 TDs, 9-15 passing 183 yards and 2 TDs.  Turner defeats Washington 34-30.  Shout out to my guy Davion Scott who had 55 yards TD reception in the first half.

Schlagle leads 12-8 with 5:36 to go in the 3rd quarter.  Game will resume tomorrow at 12.

Thursday Night:

I will write more about this into the weekend.  Hoping to get to pull some highlights but “The Human Torch” Brody Flaming went off again last night against Blue Valley Northwest.  21 of 40 for 431 yards, 3 TD’s and 1 INT.  742 yards, 8 TD’s and 1 INT in 2 games for Flaming.  Props to this young man and Mill Valley on the 2-0 start.
