Shelley Steps Down

Head boys basketball coach at Piper Brian Shelley who led the Pirates to the state tournament is stepping down.  20 wins, undefeated in the KVL and scoring 3 wins against Basehor-Linwood in the process.  With all that success Coach Shelley is stepping down as head coach.  His players and parents were informed yesterday.

Anyone involved in high school sports is in it for the kids.  There is little in the way of money associated with the incredible sacrifice a coach makes to coach his team.  That sacrifice means a lot of time away from home and anyone that chooses family must be respected and understood.

Great job this year coach and good luck in the future.
