SHUKC Player Spotlight: Jordan Brown (Tonganoxie)

by David Brox, davidbrox@shukc.com

The talk around Tonganoxie at the beginning of the season was who was going to step and establish themselves as a play maker for this team.  Much was made by me last year and into this one about the rebuilding effort taking place.  Coach Troyer has done a great job at piecing things back together and finding a few diamonds on this team.

Junior RB Jordan Brown who takes some snaps at QB from time to time is one of those players.  I don’t know what is in the water at Tonganoxie but they seem to keep finding the short but elusive RB’s.  Cole Holloway is at Benedictine and Brown is trying to get to the next level as well.  Through 5 games Brown has carried the ball 60 times for 364 yards and 4 TD’s.  That is a nice 6.1 yards per carry.  He has played a big role in Tonganoxie being 3-2 this season after managing just 2 wins all of last year.  Check out his highlights through the first 5 games.
